The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.51.40

स्वप्ने दृष्टो यथा ग्रामो याति सत्तान्यतेक्षणात् ।
देहाद्देहं तथा याति देहोऽयं प्रतिभात्मकः ॥ ४० ॥

svapne dṛṣṭo yathā grāmo yāti sattānyatekṣaṇāt |
dehāddehaṃ tathā yāti deho'yaṃ pratibhātmakaḥ || 40 ||

The body likewise takes different forms upon it, according to its inward thoughts and feelings; as a city seen in a dream varies considerably from what is seen with naked eyes. So we shape our future forms by the tenor of our minds.
