The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.35.7

इत्युक्त्वा बाह्यबोधस्त्वं मा भवेति त्रिशूलधृक् ।
प्राणेनेदं देहगेहं परिस्फुरति यन्त्रवत् ॥ ७ ॥

ityuktvā bāhyabodhastvaṃ mā bhaveti triśūladhṛk |
prāṇenedaṃ dehagehaṃ parisphurati yantravat || 7 ||

After saying in this manner, the holder of the trident told me, not to rely on my knowledge of the externals, but to attend to the internal breathings, which move this abode of the body, as the physical forces move a machine.
