The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दीर्घसंकल्पजश्चायं दीर्घदुःखेन दुःखितः ।
देहो हि संकल्पमयो नायमस्ति न वास्ति नः ॥ २१ ॥

dīrghasaṃkalpajaścāyaṃ dīrghaduḥkhena duḥkhitaḥ |
deho hi saṃkalpamayo nāyamasti na vāsti naḥ || 21 ||

The bodies that are produced by our long desire, continue for a longer time, and are subjected to a longer series of miseries in this world.
