The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.91.103

रूपं नानाकृतित्वेन सत्ताया न कदाचन ।
असंवेद्यं संभवति तस्मादेतदवस्तुकम् ॥ १०३ ॥

rūpaṃ nānākṛtitvena sattāyā na kadācana |
asaṃvedyaṃ saṃbhavati tasmādetadavastukam || 103 ||

The variety of external forms, does not indicate any variation in the internal substance; change of outward form, makes a thing unknowable to us as to its former state; but outward and formal differences, make no difference in the real essence.
