The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यदृच्छयैव प्रोद्धर्तुं देहं तस्याभवन्मतिः ।
अपश्यत्तत्तथा तत्र पङ्के कीटमिव स्थितम् ॥ ५ ॥

yadṛcchayaiva proddhartuṃ dehaṃ tasyābhavanmatiḥ |
apaśyattattathā tatra paṅke kīṭamiva sthitam || 5 ||

He found his living body lying in the cave as an insect, and had a mind to raise it above the surrounding mud and mire.
