The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.49.15

अमूर्तो भगवान्कालो ब्रह्मैव तमजं विदुः ।
न जहाति न चादत्ते किंचित्कस्य कदेति च ॥ १५ ॥

amūrto bhagavānkālo brahmaiva tamajaṃ viduḥ |
na jahāti na cādatte kiṃcitkasya kadeti ca || 15 ||

Time is a formless void, and is identic with the nature and form of the increate great Lord God himself. It is neither the giver nor taker of anything to or from any one at any time.
