The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चितिश्चटचटास्फोटैः शवमाशु ददाह सा ।
शुष्केन्धनबहूच्छूनज्वालाजालजटावली ॥ ३९ ॥

citiścaṭacaṭāsphoṭaiḥ śavamāśu dadāha sā |
śuṣkendhanabahūcchūnajvālājālajaṭāvalī || 39 ||

The burning wood of the funeral pile, consumed the dead body with loud cracking noise; and the dry fuel of the pile, flashed in ambient flames with curling smoke over them.
