The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.22.22

यदध्वराग्र्यधूमाभ्रराजयो वलिताब्धयः ।
ब्रह्माण्डकोटरस्यास्य सदा कवचतां ययुः ॥ २२ ॥

yadadhvarāgryadhūmābhrarājayo valitābdhayaḥ |
brahmāṇḍakoṭarasyāsya sadā kavacatāṃ yayuḥ || 22 ||

But the smoke of his sacrificial fire, was an amulet to the people for supply of water;and it caused the rains to fall as profusely from above as the seas fallen below from the waters above.
