The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चकाराखिलकार्याणि न मुमोह च धीरधीः ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
evaṃ vicārayaṃstatra svarājye janako nṛpaḥ |
cakārākhilakāryāṇi na mumoha ca dhīradhīḥ || 1 ||

Vasishtha continued:—Janaka having expostulated in his manner with his mind, attended to the affairs of the state without shrinking from them by his mental abstraction.
