The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.60.1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अस्मिन्भगवति ब्रह्मंश्चपलं पदमाश्रिते ।
पितामहे महाबाहो कृतसर्गव्यवस्थितौ ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
asminbhagavati brahmaṃścapalaṃ padamāśrite |
pitāmahe mahābāho kṛtasargavyavasthitau || 1 ||

Vasishtha continued:—O strong armed Rama! after the great father of creation, he took himself to his activity, he formed and supported the worlds by his energy and might.
