The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्यवहारो यथाशास्त्रं क्रियतां मा विनश्यताम् ।
जीवो जीर्णान्धकूपेषु भवेष्वन्तमिवागतः ॥ ५१ ॥

vyavahāro yathāśāstraṃ kriyatāṃ mā vinaśyatām |
jīvo jīrṇāndhakūpeṣu bhaveṣvantamivāgataḥ || 51 ||

Take care, that your sensuous soul does not perish as a prey in the snare of your sensual appetites, nor as a blind old man by falling in the hidden pits of this world.
