The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हसितं तु यदानन्दि पुंसा मदवबोधतः ।
परिप्राप्तविवेकेन तत्तुष्टं राम चेतसा ॥ २६ ॥

hasitaṃ tu yadānandi puṃsā madavabodhataḥ |
pariprāptavivekena tattuṣṭaṃ rāma cetasā || 26 ||

Those who smiled in the cheerfulness of their hearts, were men who had come to the light of reason; and it was their reason which gave consolation to their hearts.
