The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
अविसंवादिनार्थे यद्यत्प्रामाणिकदृष्टिभिः ।
वीतरागैर्विनिर्णीतं तच्छास्त्रमिति कथ्यते ॥ ३५ ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
avisaṃvādinārthe yadyatprāmāṇikadṛṣṭibhiḥ |
vītarāgairvinirṇītaṃ tacchāstramiti kathyate || 35 ||

As the ink ceases to be ink, without its inky blackness, so the mind ceases to exist, without the action of its mental operations.
