The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.82.26

सोऽयं प्रगृह्यतां तेन सर्वं हृदयशूलनम् ।
शममेष्यति लोकेऽस्मात्का कथा मत्कृते भ्रमे ॥ २६ ॥

so'yaṃ pragṛhyatāṃ tena sarvaṃ hṛdayaśūlanam |
śamameṣyati loke'smātkā kathā matkṛte bhrame || 26 ||

He then gave me the power of piercing the hearts of men, with some other diseases which infest all mankind.
