The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

द्रष्टुर्दृश्यविनिर्माणे चित्त्वादस्त्वेव शक्तता ।
कनकस्यावदातस्य कटकादिकृताविव ॥ ६६ ॥

draṣṭurdṛśyavinirmāṇe cittvādastveva śaktatā |
kanakasyāvadātasya kaṭakādikṛtāviva || 66 ||

It is in the power of the intellect (imagination), to create the views of its vision; as it lies in the capacity of gold, to produce all the various forms of jewellery.
