The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यत्संकोचविकासाभ्यां जगत्प्रलयसृष्टयः ।
निष्ठा वेदान्तवाक्यानामथ वाचामगोचरः ॥ ३ ॥

yatsaṃkocavikāsābhyāṃ jagatpralayasṛṣṭayaḥ |
niṣṭhā vedāntavākyānāmatha vācāmagocaraḥ || 3 ||

He whose expansion and contraction causes the creation and extinction of the world, who is the object of the doctrines of Vedanta, and who is inexpressible by words or speech of humankind:—
