The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.13.22

यथाभावितमात्रार्थभाविताद्विश्वरूपतः ।
स एव स्वात्मा सततोप्ययं सोहमिति स्वयम् ॥ २२ ॥

yathābhāvitamātrārthabhāvitādviśvarūpataḥ |
sa eva svātmā satatopyayaṃ sohamiti svayam || 22 ||

As the soul goes on thinking itself the microcosm of the world (Viswarupa), so it falsely thinks itself as such in reality, as it is expressed by the dictum "Soham" "so am I."
