The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शुभाशुभाभ्यां मार्गाभ्यां वहन्ती वासनासरित् ।
पौरुषेण प्रयत्नेन योजनीया शुभे पथि ॥ ३० ॥

śubhāśubhābhyāṃ mārgābhyāṃ vahantī vāsanāsarit |
pauruṣeṇa prayatnena yojanīyā śubhe pathi || 30 ||

The current of our desires is flowing betwixt the two channels of good and evil; it must be by exertion of our activity that we must turn it to the right course.
