Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. यथैव त्वं तथैवाहं को वा माश्वासयिष्यति ।
ममैव ह्यपराधेन कुलमग्र्यं विनाशितम् ॥ २० ॥

yathaiva tvaṃ tathaivāhaṃ ko vā māśvāsayiṣyati |
mamaiva hyaparādhena kulamagryaṃ vināśitam || 20 ||
