This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 65.19

अथ कल्पसहस्राणि वशिभूतसहस्रकोटीन् अनुचीर्णं ।
दृष्ट्वा तदा व्रजन्तं कालो शाक्योत्तमम् अवोचत् ॥ १९ ॥

atha kalpasahasrāṇi vaśibhūtasahasrakoṭīn anucīrṇaṃ |
dṛṣṭvā tadā vrajantaṃ kālo śākyottamam avocat || 19 ||

Then when Kala had seen him who had lived in mastery for thousands of kalpas, for thousands of kotis of kalpas, he addressed the foremost of the Shakyans as he moved on. (19)
