The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.213.11

गुरुरुवाच ।
न विनश्यत एवेदं ततः पुत्र न विद्यते ।
नासतो विद्यते भावो नाभावो विद्यते सतः ॥ ११ ॥

gururuvāca |
na vinaśyata evedaṃ tataḥ putra na vidyate |
nāsato vidyate bhāvo nābhāvo vidyate sataḥ || 11 ||

The preceptor replied:—This world, my boy, is not wholly destroyed nor does it become altogether extinct; and it is quite true that nothing ever goes to nothing, nor does anything, ever proceed from a nihility.
