The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.208.22

यदा स्वभावात्कचनं संहृत्यात्मनि तिष्ठति ।
ब्रह्मचिद्गगनैकात्मा शान्त इत्युच्यते तथा ॥ २२ ॥

yadā svabhāvātkacanaṃ saṃhṛtyātmani tiṣṭhati |
brahmacidgaganaikātmā śānta ityucyate tathā || 22 ||

When the soul of its own nature ceases to cast its reflection, or suppresses it within itself, and remains quietly in the vacuous sphere of divine intellect, by assimilating itself with the universal soul of Brahma, it is then said to be quietus of quiet in death.
