The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अयमादिरयं चान्तः सर्गस्येत्यवभासते ।
चितः सुघननिद्रायाः सुषुप्तस्वप्नकोष्ठतः ॥ २२ ॥

ayamādirayaṃ cāntaḥ sargasyetyavabhāsate |
citaḥ sughananidrāyāḥ suṣuptasvapnakoṣṭhataḥ || 22 ||

He appears as the beginning and end of creation, or as the cause of its production and dissolution; but these are the mere dreams of the Divine intellect, which is always in its state of profound sleep and rest.
