The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एवंनामास्ति चिद्धातुरनादिनिधनोऽमलः ।
शून्यात्मैवाच्छरूपोऽपि जगदित्यवभाति यः ॥ ४ ॥

evaṃnāmāsti ciddhāturanādinidhano'malaḥ |
śūnyātmaivāccharūpo'pi jagadityavabhāti yaḥ || 4 ||

Such is the essence of the Intellect, which is translucent and without its beginning and end; and though it is a clear void in itself, yet it bears the ideal model of the world in its mirror.
