The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

किं नामेदं किल सुखं यद्राज्यादिमनोङ्कुरम् ।
तत्त्वज्ञानैकविश्रान्तौ देवराजपदं तृणम् ॥ ४४ ॥

kiṃ nāmedaṃ kila sukhaṃ yadrājyādimanoṅkuram |
tattvajñānaikaviśrāntau devarājapadaṃ tṛṇam || 44 ||

What is that happiness which is gained by the possession of a kingdom, which at last is no better than mere botheration of the mind;while the mind that has gained its peace and tranquillity in truth and Divine knowledge, spurns at the state of gods and kings as mere straws to him.
