The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निवृत्तो बाह्यतो जीवो जीवाधारे हृदि स्थितः ।
रूपं स्वं स्वप्नसर्गोऽयमिति वेत्ति चिदाकचान् ॥ ४३ ॥

nivṛtto bāhyato jīvo jīvādhāre hṛdi sthitaḥ |
rūpaṃ svaṃ svapnasargo'yamiti vetti cidākacān || 43 ||

The soul breaking off from its view of the visibles, rests in its receptacle of heart; and sees the various sights in its dream, which are unfolded by the intellect before it.
