The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.132.5

भृङ्गं श्रृङ्गवतः श्रृङ्गे गङ्गाकनकपङ्कजे ।
अहमासं समाः सप्त तत्क्लिन्नोऽकर्दमाप्लुते ॥ ५ ॥

bhṛṅgaṃ śrṛṅgavataḥ śrṛṅge gaṅgākanakapaṅkaje |
ahamāsaṃ samāḥ sapta tatklinno'kardamāplute || 5 ||

I was to the top of that mountain, where I remained seven years, with my dried and unsoiled body, as a bee remains unsullied on the pericarp of a lotus flower growing in the bed of the Ganges.
