The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.126.21

मकरोदरमांसाशी मृते मकरनायके ।
मकरोदरतोऽब्धेश्च निर्गतो मकरो यथा ॥ २१ ॥

makarodaramāṃsāśī mṛte makaranāyake |
makarodarato'bdheśca nirgato makaro yathā || 21 ||

There he fed upon the bowels of the shark, which killed the animal in a short time; and then he came out of its belly, as if it gave birth to a young shark.
