The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.96.23

चिन्मात्रं शुद्धमात्मानं योऽवलम्ब्य स्थिरः स्थितः ।
नाधयस्तं विलुम्पन्ति महोपलमिवेषवः ॥ २३ ॥

cinmātraṃ śuddhamātmānaṃ yo'valambya sthiraḥ sthitaḥ |
nādhayastaṃ vilumpanti mahopalamiveṣavaḥ || 23 ||

He who remains firm, with his reliance in the pure intellectual soul; is never assailed by calamities, but remains [immune] to woes, as a block of stone to a flight of arrows.
