The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्वयंभूरेष कथितो विराडेष स उच्यते ।
ब्रह्माण्डात्मा जगद्देहो वस्तुतस्तु नभोमयः ॥ ४७ ॥

svayaṃbhūreṣa kathito virāḍeṣa sa ucyate |
brahmāṇḍātmā jagaddeho vastutastu nabhomayaḥ || 47 ||

He is called the self-born and Virat also, and though he is said to be the body and soul of the world, yet he is quite a void himself.
