The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तेनेयं वासना ब्रह्मन्क्षयं गन्तुं समुद्यता ।
क्वेव पद्माकराशोषे गन्धलेखावतिष्ठताम् ॥ ७ ॥

teneyaṃ vāsanā brahmankṣayaṃ gantuṃ samudyatā |
kveva padmākarāśoṣe gandhalekhāvatiṣṭhatām || 7 ||

It is now that this personification of my desire, is about to breathe her last; just as the lake of lotuses being dried, the breath of lotus flowers also is lost in the air.
