The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अविज्ञातस्य बालस्य पदार्था यादृशा इमे ।
विदुषस्तादृशा एव तिष्ठतः क्षीणवासनम् ॥ ३० ॥

avijñātasya bālasya padārthā yādṛśā ime |
viduṣastādṛśā eva tiṣṭhataḥ kṣīṇavāsanam || 30 ||

As the world appears to be everlasting and unchanging to the ignorant lad, so doth it seem to the listless sage to be co-existent with its eternal cause.
