The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चित्तदीपे गते यान्ति भ्रान्तिवद्भान्ति खे स्थिते ।
रूपालोकमनस्कारसंविदोऽम्बुद्रवोर्मयः ॥ २ ॥

cittadīpe gate yānti bhrāntivadbhānti khe sthite |
rūpālokamanaskārasaṃvido'mbudravormayaḥ || 2 ||

The lighted lamp of the understanding being extinguished, the erroneous conceptions of the world vanishes into the air; and the ocular vision and mental operations, are as undulations of consciousness.
