The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ब्रह्मसर्गश्चित्तसर्गो द्वावेतौ सदृशौ मतौ ।
परमार्थस्वरूपत्वादक्षुब्धत्वात्सदैव च ॥ २ ॥

brahmasargaścittasargo dvāvetau sadṛśau matau |
paramārthasvarūpatvādakṣubdhatvātsadaiva ca || 2 ||

The doctrines that the world is the creation of Brahma or of the mind, are both alike in substance; in as much as they regard it in an immaterial and not physical sense.
