The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.37.50

अहं जगदिति ज्ञप्तिः खे खस्येवेयमास्थिता ।
चिदात्मनो यथा वायोः स्पन्दो नात्रास्ति कारणं ॥ ५० ॥

ahaṃ jagaditi jñaptiḥ khe khasyeveyamāsthitā |
cidātmano yathā vāyoḥ spando nātrāsti kāraṇaṃ || 50 ||

The knowledge of “I and the world” (i.e. of the subjective and objective), is as that of air in the endless vacuity; it is the vibration of the intelligent soul, like the breath of air in vacuum, that causes this knowledge in us, beside which there is no other cause.
