The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.25.27

व्यूढानां वासनावातैर्नृतृणानामितस्ततः ।
तान्यापतन्ति दुःखानि तत्र वक्तुं न पार्यते ॥ २७ ॥

vyūḍhānāṃ vāsanāvātairnṛtṛṇānāmitastataḥ |
tānyāpatanti duḥkhāni tatra vaktuṃ na pāryate || 27 ||

Men are as straws carried here and there by the current of their desire, and whirled about in its eddy; they are overtaken by and overwhelmed in an endless series of difficulties which are impossible for me to enumerate.
