The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.23.21

निमेषास्वादमधुराः क्षणान्तरविरागिणः ।
मारणैकान्तनिरता ग्राम्या विषकणा इव ॥ २१ ॥

nimeṣāsvādamadhurāḥ kṣaṇāntaravirāgiṇaḥ |
māraṇaikāntaniratā grāmyā viṣakaṇā iva || 21 ||

These rude rustics resemble the potions of poison, that are mixed with honey; they are sweet to taste for a moment, but prove deadly at last.
