The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथैवास्पन्दनाद्वातः सन्नेवैत्य सदात्मताम् ।
तथैवाचेतनाज्जीवो जीवन्नेति परां गतिम् ॥ ८ ॥

yathaivāspandanādvātaḥ sannevaitya sadātmatām |
tathaivācetanājjīvo jīvanneti parāṃ gatim || 8 ||

As the existent air appears to be inexistent, without the motion of the wind; so the living soul desisting from its function of thinking, is said to be extinct in the Supreme Deity.
