The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विशेत्तुरीयमानन्दं तदा जीवो विमुच्यते ।
जीवस्य च तुरीयाख्या स्थितिर्या परमात्मनि ॥ ५० ॥

viśetturīyamānandaṃ tadā jīvo vimucyate |
jīvasya ca turīyākhyā sthitiryā paramātmani || 50 ||

The fourth state of turiya, which consists in the residence of the living soul, in the lap of the universal soul of God, is the state of the soul's liberation from its condition of sleep or hypnotism, and is full of its spiritual blissfulness.
