The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.128.49

यदा पश्यत्यभेदेन तदा जीवो विमुच्यते ।
जाग्रत्स्वप्नसुषुप्ताख्यं हित्वा स्थानत्रयं यदा ॥ ४९ ॥

yadā paśyatyabhedena tadā jīvo vimucyate |
jāgratsvapnasuṣuptākhyaṃ hitvā sthānatrayaṃ yadā || 49 ||

When the living soul has passed over the three states, of waking, dreaming, and sound sleep;and enters into the fourth or turya state of perfect bliss, he is then freed from the binding of his earthly duties.
