The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.126.20

यथावच्छास्त्रवाक्यार्थे मतिमाधाय निश्चलम् ।
तापसाश्रमविश्रामैरध्यात्मकथनक्रमैः ॥ २० ॥

yathāvacchāstravākyārthe matimādhāya niścalam |
tāpasāśramaviśrāmairadhyātmakathanakramaiḥ || 20 ||

Here he learns to fix his mind to its steadiness, according to the dictates of the sastras; and passes his time in talking on spiritual subjects, in society of hermits and devotees.
