The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पौरुषप्रभवा साधो विपत्तिर्हि मतौ यथा ।
यानि यानीह दुःखानि प्रस्फुरन्ति जगत्त्रये ॥ ५० ॥

pauruṣaprabhavā sādho vipattirhi matau yathā |
yāni yānīha duḥkhāni prasphuranti jagattraye || 50 ||

All our evils proceed from the acts of our bodies, as well as from the thoughts and action of our minds;these two are main springs of the miseries of men, in all places and times.
