The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.95.19

पदार्थाभावसंसिद्धिस्तत्सिद्धौ कस्य वेदनम् ।
एवं तु वेदनाभावे नास्त्यहंत्वस्य कारणम् ॥ १९ ॥

padārthābhāvasaṃsiddhistatsiddhau kasya vedanam |
evaṃ tu vedanābhāve nāstyahaṃtvasya kāraṇam || 19 ||

The non-existence of anything or the not being of everything (except that of the supreme Being), being proved as a certain truth; we can have no conception of anything, and the absence of such conception, it is in vain to suppose the existence of an egoism or tuism.
