The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शिखिध्वज उवाच ।
अलमुत्पलपत्राक्षि विघ्नेनाभिमतस्य मे ।
विद्धि मां गतमेवेतो दूरमेकान्तकाननम् ॥ २८ ॥

śikhidhvaja uvāca |
alamutpalapatrākṣi vighnenābhimatasya me |
viddhi māṃ gatameveto dūramekāntakānanam || 28 ||

Sikhidvaja rejoined:—Know my royal dame, that thy application is all in vain to my determination of going away from here; and know me as already gone from thee and thy realm to the retreat woods afar from hence.
