The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वस्तु दृष्टमदृष्टं च स्वप्ने समनुभूयते ।
जीवस्वप्ने जगद्रूपं विद्धि वेद्यविदां वर ॥ ४४ ॥

vastu dṛṣṭamadṛṣṭaṃ ca svapne samanubhūyate |
jīvasvapne jagadrūpaṃ viddhi vedyavidāṃ vara || 44 ||

A man sees in his dream all that he has seen or heard or thought of at any time, and the whole world being comprised in the state of dreaming, the living soul becomes the knower of all that is knowable in his dream.
