The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आत्मैव देवो भगवाञ्छिवः परमकारणम् ।
ज्ञानार्चनेनाविरतं पूजनीयः स सर्वदा ॥ १३१ ॥

ātmaiva devo bhagavāñchivaḥ paramakāraṇam |
jñānārcanenāvirataṃ pūjanīyaḥ sa sarvadā || 131 ||

The Lord Siva is the spiritual god, and the supreme cause of all; He is to be worshipped always and without fail, with the understanding only.
