The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कियदायुश्च ते साधो वृत्तं स्मरसि किंच वा ।
केनायं वा निवासस्ते निर्दिष्टो दीर्घदर्शिनः ॥ २१ ॥

kiyadāyuśca te sādho vṛttaṃ smarasi kiṃca vā |
kenāyaṃ vā nivāsaste nirdiṣṭo dīrghadarśinaḥ || 21 ||

Tell me sir, if you remember the length of life that you have passed, and if you recollect by your long sightedness how you came to be settled in this lodging.
