The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.8.9

आगत्यागत्य पतति विवेककरिणीं क्वचित् ।
विधूयते धूतरजाः प्रसक्तिं पुनरेति च ॥ ९ ॥

āgatyāgatya patati vivekakariṇīṃ kvacit |
vidhūyate dhūtarajāḥ prasaktiṃ punareti ca || 9 ||

The days are its blossoms, and the nights are the swarms of black bees, that overshadow its flowers; and the continued shaking of its boughs, darts down the dust of living bodies from it, both by day and night.
