The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.6.49

न प्रयान्त्यपरं पारं विहङ्ग्यः पञ्जरादिव ।
भावमात्रपरावृत्तवासनाभारनाभयः ॥ ४९ ॥

na prayāntyaparaṃ pāraṃ vihaṅgyaḥ pañjarādiva |
bhāvamātraparāvṛttavāsanābhāranābhayaḥ || 49 ||

The revolution of repeated births, is like the constant rotation of the wheel of a chariot; and there is no body that is able to stop their motion, by restraining his earthly desires; which are ever turning as the spokes affixed to nave of the heart.
