The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.2.47

विवेकविशदं चेतः सत्त्वमित्यभिधीयते ।
भूयः फलति नो मोहं दग्धबीजमिवाङ्कुरम् ॥ ४७ ॥

vivekaviśadaṃ cetaḥ sattvamityabhidhīyate |
bhūyaḥ phalati no mohaṃ dagdhabījamivāṅkuram || 47 ||

The mind which is purified by reason, is called the sattwa as said above, and does not give rise to error; as the fried paddy seed, is not productive of the plant.
